Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 June 2026

Pixel Online (ABN 34 297 542 192) operates OZFINDA (ozfinda.com.au). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you use OZFINDA, including the public directory, business accounts and our communications. By using the Site you consent to the practices described here.

2. What personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:

  • Account details — your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form) and, for business owners, your role at the business;
  • Business listing details — business name, address, phone, email, website, services, hours, photos and descriptions (which may include personal information about sole traders);
  • Enquiry and quote details — information you provide when you request a quote or contact a business through the Site;
  • Payment details — billing information processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers — see section 6);
  • Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and interactions, collected through cookies and analytics; and
  • Communications — the content of messages, reviews and support requests you send us.

3. How we collect personal information

We collect personal information:

  • directly from you when you register, list, enquire, pay or contact us;
  • automatically through cookies and analytics tools as you use the Site; and
  • from publicly available sources, where we create initial business listings from public business information so they can be found and later claimed by their owners.

4. Why we collect, hold and use it

We use personal information to:

  • create and operate the directory and your account and listings;
  • connect consumers with businesses (for example, routing quote requests);
  • process payments and manage subscriptions and featured placements;
  • provide support and respond to your enquiries;
  • improve, secure and personalise the Site, including our AI and search features;
  • send service messages and, where permitted, marketing communications; and
  • meet our legal obligations and protect our legal rights.

5. Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Businesses you contact — when you submit a quote or enquiry, we share it with the relevant business so they can respond;
  • Service providers — including hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics and AI providers who help us run the Site, under obligations of confidentiality;
  • Authorities — where required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public; and
  • A successor — in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.

Business listing information is, by its nature, published publicly on the Site so that consumers can find and contact businesses.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). Your card details are provided directly to that provider and are subject to their privacy and security practices. We do not store full card numbers on our systems. See our Payment Policy for more on billing.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure usage and improve the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if you disable them.

8. Marketing communications

Where you have opted in or where permitted by law, we may send you newsletters and marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or by emailing [email protected]. Service and account-related messages are not marketing and may still be sent.

9. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which we delete or de-identify it.

10. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You can access and update most of your information directly from your account dashboard. You may also request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

12. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always shown on this page, with the "Last updated" date reflecting the most recent change.
