Fitness offers a team of health professionals who work closely together to provide comprehensive nutrition and lifestyle programs to individual clients, corporations and sports teams. Our highly skilled team of dietitians, psychologists, physiotherapists and personal trainers are dedicated to providing a tailored approach to the health needs of their clients. Sophy Porter and Dr Mary Slater are the founders of Nourish - Nutrition . Health . Fitness and boast many years experience in the academic, scientific and business arena. As Accredited Practicing Dietitians, Accredited Sports Dietitians and Fitness Leaders they are leaders in lifestyle management. Both Sophy and Mary have held research positions at the Curtin University of Technology and are dedicated to providing a scientific and cutting edge approach to nutrition, health and fitness. Treatment Areas Include: weight management & bariatric surgery; GIT intolerances - IBS, Crohns, Coeliac disease; cardiology; sports nutrition; corporate on-site health screens; group education seminars; practical cooking classes and supermarket shopping tours. Who we are: Sophy Porter Sophy has been consultant sports dietitian to The Fremantle Football Club (AFL) since 2004, The Emirates Western Force and WA Rugby Academy (ARU) since its inaugural year in 2006. Sophy has also worked with WA Cricket âThe Western Warriorsâ, was involved in Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and is currently the sports nutrition service provider for Tennis WA. She is also completing her PhD in the area of sports nutrition. Dr Mary Slater Dr Slater holds a PhD in her specialist area of dietary management of chronic disease and the metabolic syndrome. She has held a research fellowship position at Curtin University of Technology for 3 years. Mary is a qualified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Mary has worked with WA soccer teams of various levels for 3 years and she has also provided nutritional services to a range of other male sports such as AFL and rugby union.
